I'm Amy Laney, a qualified Makeup Artist based in Worcester specialising in bridal and special event makeup for customers from Worcestershire and other parts of the midlands. I also provide makeup lessons and consultations.

Bridal makeup trial

I always conduct a makeup trial, usually around 3 months before the wedding, to alleviate any concerns about how the makeup will look on this very important day. This allows a customer to try on a look if it is not clear what works best. It is also possible to have a few trials and test a few different looks. A trial lasts about two hours and lets us see and refine the appearance ahead of time, giving you peace of mind.

On the wedding day

On the wedding day, I will arrive at a predetermined time to do your wedding make-up with plenty of time for touch-ups and any unanticipated hiccups. The bride's make-up will normally be done at the wedding site or at her home. Makeup is usually applied first to the bridesmaids and bridal party, with the bride being the last to receive my complete attention. I'll be on hand until the bridal party departs, ensuring that everyone looks fresh and beautiful. My kit will be used for all make-up and lashes on the wedding day. The bride's makeup will usually take around 60 minutes, while the rest of the party will be done in 50 minutes. I only book one wedding per day, so you can rest assured that I will be ready to stay until the end of the ceremony if necessary.
